In the video posted below we were shown some impressive moves from the cast. We also learned through the Ludus Magnus Facebook page that the mentor for Season 18 has already been cast and is training as well. Rene Naufahu (Emperor Grumm, SPD) will play the mentor for the Samurai season. No word yet on if his character will follow the same role as "Jii" in the sentai version.
His name was revealed as well, TAKERU. Which is the same name of ShinkenRed in Samurai Sentai Shinkenger, the sentai currently being adapted! This set off rants upon rants on the message boards this week, what is your opinion?
Is it too lazy to reuse the name? Does it confuse sentai watchers to hear the same name? Or is it just the producers paying homage to the sentai as promised?

I don't know enough about Japanese, but I'm pretty sure Takeru isn't that unpopular.

Speaking of which, I'll probably find out after learning more about this season's plot, but why isn't the Red Ranger this season seemingly of Samurai descent?
